The good news is - it doesn't end with #AZABBIC2018. Keep reading to discover additional opportunities to lead the Movement, reconnect with friends you make at IC, and see the world with AZA and BBG.
#AZABBGIC2018 SPIRIT GUIDE
As you reunite with old friends, make new ones and create global bonds that will span way beyond your years in BBYO, spirit will serve as a common language for International Convention. Traditions specific to your delegations will shine. Remember, spirit is much more than just your clothing or your accessories - it’s also about how well you embody the Menorah Pledge and Seven Cardinal Principles, the very foundation of our Orders. Throughout the weekend, we will be watching your communities participate in some friendly competition in an effort to win the Max F. Baer Spirit Gavel and the Anita Perlman Spirit Cup! Will you take it home?! If you have questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.

CALL FOR LEGISLATION
DUE JANUARY 16
One day before the International Convention body arrives, all delegation Presidents come together for the International February Executives Conference. During this time, your peers will learn about the newest initiatives, train together and most important of all, debate legislation that will enact changes and create new reasons for our Orders to celebrate. Just as we did at our International August Executives Conference, we want to hear from you – what’s your vision? If you have questions, email email@example.com.
APPLY FOR INTERNATIONAL AWARDS
Celebrating the achievements of Alephs and B’nai B’rith Girls is one of our longest standing traditions of our Orders. For those teens that have worked hard and dedicated themselves to the goals of BBYO, and thereby, the values of K’lal Yisrael, the Global Jewish community, we thank you. It is through AZA and BBG International Awards that we hope to congratulate and honor Alephs and BBG for their accomplishments. If you have questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
COORDINATE AMBASSADORS TO ARGENTINA / AMBASSADORS TO BULGARIA
Ambassador programs are BBYO's premier cross-cultural immersive experiences that create a deeper understanding and connection to Alephs and B'nai B'rith Girls within our global family. On Ambassador programs, teens return home as Ambassadors for our global Jewish community and teen coordinators play an integral role in our shared experience. We are looking for teen leaders with a strong programming background, globalization awareness, ability to meet deadlines and those who can bring out the fun and energy in the group to coordinate these programs!
BBYO DELEGATION AT AIPAC POLICY CONFERENCE 2018
BBYO’s commitment to Israel is both rooted in our history and ingrained deeply in our values. AIPAC, one of our Speak UP partners, is one of the nation’s most influential lobbies. Annually, BBYO sends a delegation of Alephs and BBGs to learn from incredible speakers, network with delegates from across the map, and gain valuable skills to bring home to their chapters.
ATTEND AMBASSADORS TO LATIN AMERICA
We’re headed to Chile! This March, one of BBYO's movement partners in Latin America, Maccabi Tzair CLAM, is hosting their IX Continental Seminar. Jewish teens, staff and educators from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Israel, Mexico, Spain, Uruguay, the United States and Venezuela will gather in Picarquin, Chile. Alephs and B'nai B'rith Girls from around the world will have the chance to participate in a weeklong transformative journey through Chile. All members are invited to apply. Spanish-speaking teens are highly encouraged to be a part of this experience. No specific BBYO leadership criteria is necessary.
INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CHAPTER PROGRAMMING SHOWCASE
Every year, chapters from around the world have the opportunity to submit an outstanding program to showcase for Alephs and BBGs from across the International Order at IC 2018. The top 20-25 applicants will be selected to run their program at IC, gain valuable feedback from their peers through program evaluation and have the opportunity to win the Programming Excellence Award. We are looking for chapter programs that exemplify the best of AZA and BBG. This showcase will display a multitude of chapter and program types that will inspire every Aleph and BBG to create innovative and unique programming in their home chapters.
In an effort to continue to invest in excellent programming in our chapters, each program chosen for the showcase will be awarded $100 toward future chapter programming. Three programs will be selected for additional awards based on the program evaluations at International Convention in February.
- Bronze Programming Excellence Award - additional $50 toward future chapter programming
- Silver Programming Excellence Award - additional $150 toward future chapter programming
- Gold Programming Excellence Award - additional $300 toward future chapter programming
APPLY FOR THE IC BAND
For the past five years, BBYO teens from around the world have come together to form a band that performs multiple times at BBYO International Convention. If you play an instrument OR you’re a singer, we want you to audition for the IC Band. Please only apply to be a part of the IC Band if you can dedicate hours of rehearsal time in the weeks leading up to IC. This means being able to be available for video conference calls with the entire band as well as practicing and working on music on your own to be ready.
APPLY TO BE A JEWISH ENRICHMENT INSTITUTE (JEI) COORDINATOR
Teens from across the Order will arrive to International Convention a day early to participate in the Jewish Enrichment Institute. This powerful summit offers four different tracks for teens to explore: Israel Exploration, Musical Service, Social Action and Spirituality & Mindfulness. Each track will provide a unique Jewish experience that will engage participants in one of the fundamental ideologies of practicing Judaism, and give them the tools to recreate similar experiences in their home chapters, councils or regions. Each track will have two AZA & BBG Coordinators.
APPLY TO BE A MEMBERSHIP GROWTH SUMMIT (MGS) COORDINATOR
MGS will be a dynamic and engaging summit that will enable you and other extraordinary BBYO teen leaders to learn strategies and insights from Gamechangers in other membership-based organizations and create a movement-wide campaign for membership growth across BBYO. Upon returning home from IC, you will be able to coach and mentor your peers to optimize recruitment in your local community, your council/region and across the International Order. We’re looking for two AZA & BBG MGS Coordinators.
